Dearest Body

Thanks to Rachelle for the nudge towards  Suzanne at BlogHer so I could participate with an open letter to  my body:

Dearest Body,

You are my greatest teacher, a doorway into awareness.  There is no way to say it all, but here is some of what I’ve gathered on our travels together:

Thank you for responding to my spiritual questions with a tingling in my palms forever re-locating a quest for meaning inside.

Thank you for your big female roundness propelling me into the world of other challenging me to dive beneath the shame of not good enough to discover the beauty in my curves.

Thank you for growing my babies in miraculous devoted integrity while guiding me through realms of initiation into empowered trust.

Thank you for protesting loud when my unknowing turned you into a toxic waste site so we could journey to an alternative land of healing where relatives welcomed us home.   

Thank you for your hunger of sensual delights where joy arches my heart open into purple skies and intuitive songs that taste like sweet dark chocolate. 

Thank you for hip rocking grief birthing freedom as your dancing feet reveals a constant moving path sustaining me in balance.
