Intuition…a whisper, an instinct, a sense
Intuition is a central navigating tool for all aspects of life. It can help us filter and balance the truth of any incoming information. As it grows, it can become a compass to guide daily life interactions or decisions. It helps us face any unknown and teaches how to proceed. Intuition does not need to make sense to anyone but the listener. In this way, learning to trust intuition cultivates inner authority. This grows confidence in engaging the unknown and reminds us that we have choice.
Intuition is a key guide in navigating the unknown and yet is difficult to define. Often it is a whisper, an instinct, and a sense that helps us evaluate a situation or decision. I see it as a muscle that we can develop so that a whisper becomes a shout. Intuition involves turning up the volume of sensory perception. Sometimes we identify something as intuition when it’s really something else, like a belief or a fear. It takes time to develop a relationship with intuition. But gradually, a natural sorting process begins that refines our relationship with intuition so we can learn to trust it. As this happens, intuition will grow.
